We Lorraine and Tamasin (Tammy), (Mother and Daughter) are the proud owners of the Tamzdane Gang. Our danes are firstly pets and secondly show dogs. Our Great Dane family currently consists of several Great Danes, our passion has to be with the harlequin colour, we also own 1 Black great dane.
We have always owned Great Danes, our first - Lulu was brought in 1982 by my dad! We have had them ever since, and our life will never be complete without a Dane.
We are members of the KC assured Breeder scheme, we usually breed 1 or 2 litters per year, and its normally when we want a new puppy for ourselves. We health test our danes by hip & Elbow scoring, heart testing, IMGD testing and colour testing,we aim to breed Beautiful, intelligent, Strong and healthy specimens of the breed that make good ages.
Tammy is a championship show judge for Great Danes. She also enjoys judging Dobermanns and Dogue De Bordeaux’s at open and limit show level. Tammy can also judge Junior handling and YKC classes
Tammy is dedicated to showing, we show our Danes in competitions throughout the year and all over England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland and Europe (France, Holland, Germany and Belgium). We have had much success with our dogs. We have bred the BEST OF BREED GREAT DANE AT CRUFTS 2015 a UK , INTERNATIONAL , IRISH CHAMPION, NETHERLANDS CHAMPION and BELGIUM CHAMPION, many Stud book number winners (entitling the dogs to a life time Crufts qualification), CC and RCC winners, junior warrant winners, multiple crufts qualified dogs and multiple Irish green star winners, CAC and CACIB winners also. We have also bred a Kenyan Champion.
Tammy started off showing in Junior handling competitions, learning a lot about ring etiquette, Tammy’s handling techniques have been recognised by other breeders and have been showing dogs for Alchera, Vanmore, Ravendane, Yaresville and Sharandanes kennels. Tammy has handled the Dog CC winner at Crufts 2009 and Best of breed at Crufts 2010, made up 3 champions and won Dane of the year 2009.
